The Division builds, evaluates, and teaches clinical AI for the emergency department.

We focus on the places where emergency care is hardest: incomplete information, time pressure, diagnostic uncertainty, crowded workflows, and high-stakes decisions. Our work spans diagnostic quality, triage, prognostication, operations, and clinician education. We are especially interested in tools that can be tested against real ED data and evaluated before they affect patient care.
